Job summary

Ascension is seeking a skilled Imaging Tech in Lebanon, TN to perform advanced diagnostic imaging for echocardiography. You will operate transducers, optimize parameters, and communicate clearly with patients to ensure comfort and safety during exams.

Responsibilities include accurate image validation in PACS, supporting radiologists with high-quality data, and maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• CCI/Cardiac Sonography or ARRT/ARDMS credentials within 6 months of hire.
• ARDMS Cardiac/Medical Sonography credentials within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic imaging studies using transducers and precise parameters.
• Identify pathologies and anatomical structures in real time for radiologist review.
• Guide patients through exams with clear communication and empathetic care.
• Validate image quality and patient history in PACS to speed clinical decisions.
• Uphold safety and quality standards aligned with regulatory requirements.

• Perform complex diagnostic imaging studies by skillfully maneuvering transducers and selecting precise technical parameters to capture the clearest possible clinical picture.
• Identify critical pathologies and anatomical structures in real-time to provide radiologists with the high-quality data necessary for life-saving diagnoses.
• Guide patients through their exams by ensuring comfortable positioning and clear communication, maintaining a safe and empathetic environment throughout the procedure.
• Optimize the diagnostic workflow by meticulously validating image quality and patient history in PACS, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to accurate records.
• Uphold rigorous safety and quality control standards to ensure every procedure complies with regulatory requirements and provides the highest level of patient protection.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
