Job summary

Charlotte Behavioral Health Care in Punta Gorda, FL seeks a Technician Shift Supervisor to provide on-site leadership for technicians in our Central Receiving Facility. This role coordinates assignments, supports patient safety, and coaches staff across days, nights, and weekends.

The supervisor reports to the Director of Operations for Crisis Services and ensures timely documentation while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher preferred.
• At least two (2) years of behavioral health technician or equivalent experience in an acute behavioral health or crisis stabilization setting.
• At least one (1) year of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong communication, sound judgement, and the ability to lead staff calmly and respectfully.
• Ability to meet background, training, drug screening, and certification requirements; Handle with Care and Ukeru certifications within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct technician assignments based on patient needs, census, and required observation coverage.
• Respond to callouts and staffing gaps, coordinating coverage with other shift supervisors and Director.
• Supervise, coach, and support technicians; address performance and conduct concerns in partnership with leadership and HR.
• Support new hire orientation, unit shadowing, competency checks, and refresher training.
• Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, including patient rights, observation, admissions and discharges, belongings, documentation, and crisis response.
• Partner with Charge Nurse to ensure incidents, grievances, and other documentation receive timely attention and appropriate documentation.
• Provide direct technician coverage.

Job Location: 1700 EDUCATION AVE - PUNTA GORDA, FL, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $45000.00 - $53000.00 Salary/year, Travel Percentage: Negligible, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services, Charlotte Behavioral Health Care is seeking a Technician Shift Supervisor to provide on-site leadership for technicians in our Central Receiving Facility (CRF). This position is part of a team providing leadership across days, nights, and weekends.

The supervisor coordinates technician assignments and staffing during the scheduled shift, supports patient safety and observation practices, coaches staff, and helps ensure timely and accurate documentation. The role works closely with the Charge Nurse and reports to the Director of Operations for Crisis Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications
