Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Technician Shift Supervisor to provide on-site leadership for technicians in our Central Receiving Facility (CRF).

The role coordinates assignments, supports patient safety, and coaches staff under the direction of the Director of Operations for Crisis Services. The supervisor will work with the Charge Nurse, respond to callouts, and help ensure timely documentation while maintaining calm and respectful leadership across day, night, and weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• At least two years of behavioral health technician or equivalent experience in an acute setting.
• At least one year of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong communication, sound judgement, and ability to lead staff calmly and respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Direct technician assignments based on patient needs, census, and observation coverage.
• Respond to callouts and staffing gaps; coordinate coverage with other shift supervisors and Director.
• Supervise, coach, and support technicians; address performance and conduct concerns.
• Support new hire orientation, unit shadowing, competency checks, and refresher training.
• Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, including patient rights, observation, admissions/discharges, belongings, documentation, and crisis response.
• Partner with Charge Nurse to ensure incidents, grievances, and other documentation receive timely attention.
• Provide direct technician coverage.

This position is part of a team providing leadership across days, nights, and weekends.The supervisor coordinates technician assignments and staffing during the scheduled shift, supports patient safety and observation practices, coaches staff, and helps ensure timely and accurate documentation.
