Job summary

TEKsystems in Westminster, CO seeks a contract-to-hire fabrication technician for on-site work. You will fabricate and rework non-flight hardware, perform expert-level cabling tasks, interpret drawings, and troubleshoot hardware issues to support critical programs.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work across departments, and willingness to work overtime to meet milestones. This is an onsite position in Westminster with a structured benefits package and a set pay range.

Qualifications

  • Basic data entry skills and willingness to learn company software such as Velocity and Agile.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and rework non-flight hardware using build documents and drawings.
  • Perform expert-level cabling tasks: wire stripping, crimping, connectors, soldering, sleeving, grounding.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and wire lists accurately.
  • Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues related to design or workmanship.
  • Attend to project assignments to meet cost and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate across departments to support programs and milestones.

Description
Fabrication & Assembly
  • Fabricate and rework non-flight hardware, including cables, chassis, 19" rack assemblies, and test aids, using build documents and assembly drawings.
  • Execute expert-level cabling tasks, including wire stripping, crimping, connector installation, soldering, and the implementation of sleeving and grounding schemes.
  • Accurately interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, and wire lists.
  • Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues related to product design or workmanship.
Testing & Quality
  • Perform DMM continuity checks and Cirris testing on a variety of cable assemblies.
  • Measure and record test data, ensuring out-of-tolerance conditions are recognized and reported.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to optimize hardware manufacturability and reuse.
Project Support
  • Manage assignments efficiently to meet cost and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate across departments and Strategic Business Units to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide expeditious technical support and work overtime as required to meet critical program milestones.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.27 - $27.69/hr.
