Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC is seeking a Technician Development Program Manager to lead strategy, design, governance, and delivery of technician development programs across the organization. The role partners with field leaders, training teams, recruiting partners, and OEMs to build scalable development programs and drive consistent execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in technical training, workforce development, or field service operations.
• Experience designing and delivering instructor-led training programs.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into actionable development solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including visits to branches and partner facilities.

Responsibilities

• Align DSDMs, operations leaders, and training partners around technician development priorities and standards.
• Establish and maintain technician skill standards, progression criteria, and validation requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on technician capability and advancement expectations.
• Drive consistency and accountability in technician development practices across regions.
• Design, implement, and continually improve scalable technician development programs, learning pathways, and assessments.
• Identify technician performance gaps and develop solutions that improve capability, repair quality, and operational performance.
• Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training aligned to progression requirements and business needs.
• Partner with training teams to develop curriculum, learning tools, and practical training experiences.
• Ensure training content remains current with equipment, technology, and industry advancements.
• Monitor technician progression, program effectiveness, repair quality metrics, and development trends.
