Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. seeks a Technician Development Program Manager to lead strategy, design, and governance of technician development programs across the organization.

You will establish skill standards, progression criteria, and validation processes to ensure technicians deliver high-quality repairs and service. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in technical training, workforce development, field service operations, or technician development.
• Experience designing and delivering instructor-led training programs.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into actionable development solutions.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including visits to branches and partner facilities.

Responsibilities

• Align DSDMs, operations leaders, and training partners around technician development priorities and standards.
• Establish and maintain technician skill standards, progression criteria, and validation requirements.
• Serve as subject matter expert on technician capability and advancement expectations.
• Drive consistency and accountability in technician development practices across all regions.
• Design, implement, and continually improve scalable technician development programs, learning pathways, and assessments.
• Identify performance gaps and develop solutions that improve capability and repair quality.
• Monitor progression, program effectiveness, and development trends.
• Build relationships with trade schools and technician workforce partners.
• Support recruiting and workforce development initiatives through aligned training programs.
• Maintain partnerships with OEMs to ensure access to technical training.
