Job summary

Precision Garage Door Service is seeking a forward-thinking Learning & Development Manager to build our training programs from the ground up. You’ll architect a scalable framework equipping technicians, installers, and sales staff with technical, sales, and safety skills.

You’ll also develop branch leadership programs to nurture next-gen managers. You’ll craft content, choose delivery modalities, and partner with leadership to tailor programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Instructional Design.
• Experience designing training programs that improve performance or reduce time to competency.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop an overall learning and development strategy for the company.
• Design, build, and execute a full-scale training program for field technicians, installers and salespeople focusing on ramp time and productivity.
• Create and produce training content from idea to execution.
• Recommend and implement learning delivery modalities to facilitate and measure approaches.
• Facilitate instructor-led trainings and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Partner with leadership and HR to tailor programs for the workforce.
• Develop engaging training materials including manuals, e-learning, workshops, videos, and assessments.
• Establish onboarding program blending classroom instruction, field shadowing, and tech-enabled learning.
• Establish training metrics and dashboards to track effectiveness and ROI.
• Continuously refine programs based on feedback and data.
