Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Technician 2 for Temp Control or Power to join our service center team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors, and troubleshoot in-shop or on-site with a crew.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 7+ years of generator/HVAC experience, with the ability to read schematics, calculate tonnage/kW, and lift up to 60–75 lbs.

• 7+ years of experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and calculate nominal/actual tonnage or kW requirements.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

You’ll be based out of our Dallas, TX service center. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop. You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are

High School diploma/GED 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics. Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card Valid driver’s license Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
