Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 2 for Temp Control or Power, based in Dallas, TX. You’ll work at the Dallas service center performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors.

The role involves occasionally setting up and operating equipment in the shop, either independently or with a team, with overtime potential and a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Dallas, TX service center and perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Operate or set up equipment in the shop, solo or with other technicians.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 2 Temp Control or Power based in Dallas, TX.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Dallas, TX service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
