Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking a Technician 2 (Temp Control or Power) based in Dallas, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors at the Dallas service center.

You will troubleshoot equipment in the shop and may work alone or with a team to set up and operate equipment on site or in the shop. This role requires 7+ years of generator/HVAC experience, schematics literacy, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and determine tonnage and kW requirements.
• TWIC card or valid DOT medical card may be required; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Dallas, TX service center; perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Operate equipment in the shop or on site, independently or with other technicians.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Dallas, TX service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
