Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking an HVAC Technician based in Baltimore, MD to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, HVAC equipment, and related systems. You will troubleshoot issues at the shop or on customer sites and may work solo or with a team to set up and operate equipment.

This full-time role offers training, potential overtime, and a competitive hourly pay range. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 60–75 lbs are required, with safety as a core focus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, engines, electrical distribution, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop or customer sites and complete repairs.
• Operate and set up equipment on customer sites, alone or as part of a team.

Job description

What you’ll do

• You’ll be based out of our Baltimore, MD. service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are

• High School diploma/GED 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
