Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Shakopee, MN is seeking an HVAC Technician 1 to perform field service, troubleshoot, and install equipment at customer sites using the company vehicle. The role requires 2–5 years of HVAC experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

You may need a TWIC or DOT medical card and must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Competitive hourly pay and overtime availability are offered.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a HVAC Technician 1 based in Shakopee, MN. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you’ll do

• Expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are

• Able to provide a High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Proven to have 2-5 years of experience working on commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
