Job summary

Aggreko plc in Pearland, TX is seeking a Technician 1 Power to support our service center. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors, with overtime and occasional travel.

Based at the Pearland facility, you will troubleshoot equipment at the shop or at customer locations and handle repairs, while meeting safety and quality standards and contributing to uptime for our

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, reading schematics.
• May be required to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically ≤75 lbs.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Pearland, TX. service center.

• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and occasionally on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
