Job summary

Aggreko plc seeks a Technician 1 Power Rotation based in Odessa, TX. You will work at the Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and travel daily to customer sites in your company vehicle.

The role includes preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, engines, and distribution gear, with opportunities for overtime, career growth, and robust technical training in diesel, gas, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics, electricians, or commercial inspection/maintenance/repair.
• Experience reading schematics and calculating nominal or effective tonnage/kW requirements.
• May need to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Commissioning of canopy generators and single containerized generators.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and customer locations and perform repairs.
• Work solo or with another technician to set up and operate equipment at shop and on sites.
• Travel daily in company vehicle with potential for travel and overtime.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Power Rotation based in Odessa, TX.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle

• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment

• Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

• 4+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Valid driver’s license

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post‑offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
