Job summary

Aggreko plc in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our service center team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems and oil‑free air compressors, and troubleshoot issues at shop or on customer sites.

This full‑time role may require travel, on‑call standby, and lifting up to 75 lbs. A high school diploma/GED and 4+ years of hands‑on experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW, and reading schematics
• TWIC card or valid DOT medical card may be required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Baltimore, MD. service center.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
