Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is actively recruiting skilled technicians for our Prichard, AL location to service and repair tank trailers. We offer a clear pay scale based on experience, with top pay for skilled technicians and potential for advancement. Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Scheduled hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with optional Saturdays. We provide a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to become nationally certified

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of tank/trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Welding experience (TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon).
• Familiarity with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical systems on tanks and trailers.
• Perform tank service and repairs.
• Work with air brake systems and weld as needed.
• Inspect tanks and trailers for DOT conformity.

Job Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Able to pass a drug test and background check
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED or higher

Demonstrated Skill In Most Of The Following Areas

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
