Job summary

Goetze Valves NA, Inc. is seeking a technically minded Technical Sales Representative to support customers and sales activities across North America. This on-site role combines application support, product selection, quotations, order support and proactive follow‑up.

The role requires strong communication, customer-service and sales skills, working with customers, distributors, OEMs and engineering firms, and coordinating with our team in Germany. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree preferred.
• 0–3 years in technical sales or related roles.
• Experience with valves or flow-control products preferred.
• Ability to read specs and drawings.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries with technical and commercial support on applications, pricing, and lead times.
• Review customer specs, drawings and operating requirements.
• Calculate sizing for safety relief valve solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and documentation.
• Follow up on quotations and opportunities to drive orders.
• Communicate with customers to understand needs.
• Identify additional sales opportunities within inquiries.
• Support Business Development and outside sales across regions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and training.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and Germany for questions.
• Process orders and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve technical, delivery and service issues.
• Cultivate relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs.
• Maintain CRM and forecast pipeline.
• Participate in trade shows and events.
• Travel to customer locations as required.
