Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a Field Service Training Coordinator to design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training for the Service Division, blending classroom, simulations, and hands-on practice with Atlas Copco products.

When not training, you will assist Field Service Engineers with equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, ensuring training programs reflect real‑world conditions and align with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Training Coordinator, Trainer, or Technical Instructor in manufacturing or service environment.
• Hands-on field experience preferred.
• Able to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with instructional design and learning management systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, Ladder Logic, and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver technical training sessions for Service Division employees.
• Develop and maintain training content, materials, and simulation exercises.
• Facilitate classroom and hands-on instruction using Atlas Copco tools and systems.
• Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and align training with business priorities.
• Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage the training schedule, records, and accountability (Process Control).
• Collect and evaluate feedback from participants to continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Use learning management systems (LMS) to track and measure development progress.
• Support Field Service operations when not conducting training: perform equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting; provide technical support to customers.
