Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC is seeking a full-time Technical Support Specialist to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security systems. You will serve as the key technical interface to maximize customer satisfaction and help the team deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and develop non-routine programs while mentoring others and collaborating with project managers to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills and experience related to electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Must be a self-starter and work well without direct supervision.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of physical security and door hardware; understanding of relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, test, repairs, and services a variety of non-routine security systems; serves as the primary technical interface and trainer for customers.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures and repairs equipment.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commissions new systems, analyzes performance and identifies malfunctions.
• Executes work in accordance with regulations and company safety policies.
• Mentors less experienced staff and may supervise testing, tuning, and adjustments.
• Works with Project Manager to coordinate projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
