Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned telecommunications specialist to assist the Pacific Beach Network Administrator with maintaining and installing telecommunication systems supporting range operations. You will perform daily testing of DRMS, UHF/VHF radios, SKL, MIDS, and JTRS, while ensuring RF and network systems meet specifications.

The role requires Security+ certification and an Active Secret Clearance, with flexibility for non-standard hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 3 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
• Currently possess and be able to maintain an active Secret Clearance
• Security+ certification
• Experience with voice and data communications systems
• Administration and configuration of communication network systems
• Knowledge of digital communications networks, multiplexer equipment, VHF/UHF tactical radios, data links, fiber-optic equipment, networking, routers, switches, and telephone/network switches
• Knowledge of power systems, UPS equipment, DC power supplies, low-voltage AC equipment, and primary and secondary power equipment
• Preferred: five years' experience in telecommunications, operations, and maintenance
• Flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours
• Minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment may be required

• Assist in troubleshooting LAN/WAN equipment such as routers, hubs, and switches
