Job summary

Spahrsolutionsgroup in the United States (Gulfport, MS) is seeking an Infrastructure Technician to provide onsite support for land mobile radio and personal wireless communications infrastructure. The role focuses on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and mission support, coordinating across Government, vendors, and repair teams.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on troubleshooting of complex communications issues, disciplined record-keeping, and the ability to support users

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance at application.
• Six years of relevant infrastructure, communications, field support, RF transmission, network systems, or related mission-support experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot communications hardware, cabling, connectivity, and associated infrastructure in an onsite operational environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140 training, evaluation, certification, background investigation, and experience requirements before assuming duties.
• DCWF primary work role 411 at the Intermediate proficiency level.
• CompTIA Security+ and completion of either the RF Transmission Operations Course or Network Systems Operations Course before duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, issuance, and mission support for land mobile radio and personal wireless communications systems.
• Support radio-frequency transmission and network systems operations in accordance with Government-approved procedures and technical guidance.
• Diagnose infrastructure and connectivity problems, complete approved corrective actions, and coordinate repairs beyond the local support scope.
• Coordinate vendor repairs and helpdesk actions, monitor progress, and communicate operational impacts and restoration status.
• Support users and visiting units with classified and unclassified connectivity, hardware, software, and communications requirements.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio and visual equipment, including projectors, televisions, interactive boards, speakers, cabling, and wiring.
• Serve as a property custodian or designated alternate equipment custodian when assigned; maintain accountability for receipts, transfers, inventories, and disposals.
• Record incidents, service requests, asset changes, work performed, constraints, and resolutions in Government-approved systems such as the EITSM platform.
• Comply with approved configuration, change, release, safety, cybersecurity, physical-security, and facility-security procedures.
• Monitor system health, support operational metrics and status reporting, and recommend practical improvements to reliability and service delivery.
• Coordinate activities with the Site Lead, Government technical points of contact, enterprise support teams, and other authorized entities.

The Infrastructure Technician provides onsite support for MS CRTC communications infrastructure, with an emphasis on land mobile radio, personal wireless communications, radio-frequency transmission, equipment accountability, and user mission support. The position coordinates technical work across Government, vendor, and repair organizations to keep critical communications capabilities reliable and ready.

This position is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional who can independently troubleshoot complex communications issues, coordinate field activities, maintain disciplined records, and support users in an operational environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance at application.
• Six years of relevant infrastructure, communications, field support, radio-frequency transmission, network systems, or related mission-support experience; a related bachelor's degree may substitute for five years, resulting in at least one year of relevant experience. Other qualifying education and practical-experience combinations may be considered.
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge to complex assignments, use originality in determining how to accomplish work, and operate with appreciable latitude.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot communications hardware, cabling, connectivity, and associated infrastructure in an onsite operational environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain privileged access and satisfy all DoD 8140 training, evaluation, certification, background investigation, and experience requirements before assuming duties.
• DCWF primary work role 411 at the Intermediate proficiency level.
• CompTIA Security+ and successful completion of either the Radio Frequency Transmission Operations Course or Network Systems Operations Course before assuming duties, as required by the PWS.
• Ability to lift, move, install, and work safely with communications and audiovisual equipment consistent with assigned duties.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting Air Force or Air National Guard communications environments.
• Experience with land mobile radio systems, RF transmission equipment, and personal wireless communications lifecycle support.
• Experience serving as a property custodian or equipment custodian for Government assets.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another enterprise IT service management platform.
