Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to administer Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and M365 across on-site and cloud environments. The role includes patching, backups, DR tests, and hands-on endpoint support, with responsibility for multi-site networks and RingCentral VOIP.

You will monitor system performance, respond to incidents, maintain security controls, and document configurations. Occasional travel to marina locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of related experience administering Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and related infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud services integration (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and on-premises integration.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+/Network+, Microsoft Azure/M365 Administrator or CCNA are required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security practices and PCI-DSS compliance is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Linux, AD, Azure AD/Entra ID, M365, virtualization, and DR strategies.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across on-site and cloud services.
• Perform patch management, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
• Provide endpoint support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including imaging and deployment.
• Oversee multi-site network infrastructure (Routers, switches, firewalls, Meraki).
• Monitor performance, availability, and respond to outages; coordinate with vendors.
• Configure RingCentral VOIP services; support escalation and issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation and assist with security audits and PCI-DSS compliance.
• Collaborate with IT team and external partners to align solutions with business needs.

Job description

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, Windows Server, Linux, and core business applications
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Perform patch management, software updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing
• Provide endpoint support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including imaging, deployment, and hardware/software issue resolution
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-site network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Meraki equipment
• Monitor network and system performance, availability, and reliability; respond to outages and issues
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot RingCentral VOIP services
• Provide hands-on support and act as an escalation point for internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate with IT team members to maintain reliable systems supporting business objectives
• Assist with firewalls, endpoint protection, security audits, PCI-DSS compliance, monitoring, and documentation
• Maintain documentation for system and network configurations, solutions, and processes
• Coordinate with Cisco, AT&T, and other technology vendors to resolve issues and align solutions with business needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in information technology, computer science, network engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum five (5) years of related experience administering Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization, backup/disaster recovery solutions, Fiber circuits, Ubiquiti, and/or Cisco LAN/WAN products
• Familiarity with system and network monitoring and management tools, security practices, and security technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and administering/integrating cloud services with server, endpoint, network, and VOIP infrastructure
• Must have CompTIA Server+ and/or Network+ certifications
• Must be Microsoft certified in Azure/Microsoft 365 Administrator (or MCSA), CCNA, or have equivalent practical experience
• Certifications in Microsoft, VMware/Hyper-V, Meraki technologies, or other relevant systems and network management are preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
• Industry experience in marina, real estate, hospitality, or asset-heavy operating environments is preferred
• Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations
• Detail oriented with excellent time management and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and frequent interruptions
• Ability to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 15 pounds
• Located in an office environment and able to work on-site and travel to marina locations
• Must be able to swim or willing to wear a personal flotation device when visiting marina sites
• Ability to perform frequent grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements; occasional squeezing and overhead reaching
• Ability to operate general computer equipment and network-related equipment
• Ability to view monitors and analyze data for extended periods, including required visual capabilities
• Ability to listen to and analyze audible data to communicate effectively
• Must meet Company requirements for authorized drivers and be insurable under applicable insurance standards when driving on behalf of the Company
