- Support the DISA NetOps / Tier-III HelpDesk for the DoD Mobility Classified Capability (DMCC) program under GSM-O II
- Handle service inquiries, troubleshoot complex problems, perform technical software configuration, and provide customer support
- Monitor and maintain an enterprise environment comprising Windows servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, and network appliances
- Assist mission partners with mobile-device VPN connectivity debugging, user-account and device management, and system/service-access troubleshooting
- Perform configuration updates and maintenance to patch, secure, and maintain systems
- Respond to and analyze issues degrading system or network performance to minimize downtime
- Address moderately complex technical issues using internal SOPs and team collaboration
- Create and update documentation for common issues and processes for the team knowledge base
- Provide input to optimize processes and improve environment efficiency
- Support occasional after-hours maintenance and critical-issue onsite callback support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Additional experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required prior to start
- DoD-8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE) required within 6 months of hire date
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS
- Experience with Linux (RHEL 8 or 9)
- Networking experience using Cisco, Aruba, and/or Juniper devices
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and scanning (ACAS, Tenable, or Ansible)
- Experience troubleshooting software applications, networking, Windows OS, and Linux OS issues
- Experience performing system administration tasks including installing, maintaining, monitoring, recovering, rebuilding, upgrading, and patching
- Experience researching technical solutions beyond internal SOPs
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols
- Willingness to work with multiple technologies and learn new technologies
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in daily operations and sustainment activities
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and professionalism and communicate clearly
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills
- Permanent 3rd shift availability: Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM
- Ability to provide 2-hour onsite callback support for critical issues
