Job summary
Saalex Corporation is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to support Navy-enabled environments in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. You will provide Tier 1–3 support, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure reliable IT services in DoD-aligned settings.
Requires 3–5 years in tech support, Windows/Linux experience, ticketing proficiency, and DoD cybersecurity awareness. Eligible for security clearance; benefits include health, retirement, and time off.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in technical support or IT support.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems and office applications.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITSM processes.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking basics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1–3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents and service requests per SLA.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, provisioning, access control, and passwords.
- Document incidents and changes using ticketing systems.
- Assist with system updates, patching, and maintenance tasks.
- Support deployment of new systems and technology refresh initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and basic STIGs.
