Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in computers/LAN Administration.
• 1-2 years of working experience in a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
• Experience in supporting desktop applications, Servers, Audio Visual equipment is an asset.
• Basic understanding of building systems and general maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is an asset.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and fire regulations and best practices.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing IT and facilities demands.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture as required, and to be physically present on campus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of network resources, computer workstations, and a safe, welcoming campus environment.
• Provide direct Tier 1 support for hardware and software.
• Manage the Help Desk ticketing environment.
• Coordinate daily facility operations, including routine maintenance, space planning, and vendor oversight.
• Frontline customer support focused on resolving technical issues.
• Configure and maintain campus computing infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair problems efficiently.
• Ensure software and cable management meet company standards.
• Install all software on campus computers and ensure software licenses are valid.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software for insurance purposes.
• Liaise with other departments to provide technical and administrative support.
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of campus premises and coordinate timely repairs.
• Manage facilities-related work orders and tickets through to resolution.
• Ensure campus compliance with health, safety, fire, and applicable regulatory standards.
