Job summary

Chapter 2 is seeking a Technical Sourcer to build the candidate pipeline for a fast-growing AI startup in San Francisco. You will partner with founders, recruiters, and hiring managers to define headcount and ideal profiles, while owning the top-of-funnel sourcing strategy.

You’ll source for software, AI, and product roles using LinkedIn, GitHub, Boolean search, and niche communities, engaging passive candidates and maintaining smooth handoffs to the recruiting team.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing or recruiting for technical roles in tech, SaaS or high-growth environments.
• Proven success running outbound sourcing campaigns and converting passive engineers into active candidates.
• Strong Boolean search and market-mapping skills, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Excellent communication with a candidate-first mindset and brand representation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with recruiters, founders and hiring managers to understand headcount plans and role requirements.
• Own top-of-funnel sourcing strategy for all roles using LinkedIn, GitHub, Boolean search, and niche boards.
• Proactively source and engage software, AI and product talent; build diverse pipelines.
• Conduct initial screens to assess skills, experience, compensation expectations and motivators.
• Maintain accurate data in ATS/CRM and report pipeline health and metrics.
