Job summary

Hartfiel Automation is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to be the technical backbone of a regional sales team. You’ll help customers with component selection, custom assemblies, and design documentation for machined parts, rewarding ownership and practical problem solving.

You’ll deepen expertise in fluid power and pneumatics, assist outside sales engineers with quotes and sourcing, and manage orders, deliveries, and returns while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience; fluid power, mechanical, or electrical engineering background is a plus.
• CAD experience is preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years in customer service, technical support, or related field; mindset matters more than resume.

Responsibilities

• Solve Technical Problems: you research, think, and find the right solution; support quotes, sourcing, and design documentation.
• Build/Utilize Expertise: develop deeper knowledge of fluid power, pneumatics, and core product lines; CAD is a plus.
• Own Customer Relationships: manage orders, returns, timelines, and field technical questions by phone and email.
• Work as a Team: collaborate with outside sales, coordinate pipeline meetings, and occasionally visit customers onsite.
