Job summary

Source 1 Solutions is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to bridge technical expertise with commercial delivery. You’ll scope, design, and present customer solutions aligned to Source 1 standards and client goals.

The role collaborates with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to ensure sound, deliverable proposals and successful implementations. The position involves on-site work for the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid on-site/remote schedule, and a focus on scalable,

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a technical, engineering, or support role at Source 1 Solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Source 1's core services: Service Desk, Infrastructure & Network Management, Backup & Recovery, Cyber Security.
• Ability to translate technical details into clear, customer-focused language.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; precision and clarity matter.
• Strong attention to detail in scoping, quoting, and validating solutions.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shared targets and deadlines.
• Working knowledge of current technologies.
• Experience carrying out critical projects for current clients.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Inside Sales from Stage 2 (qualification) onward to define and validate customer requirements.
• Design and document solutions covering Managed IT, Infrastructure & Network Management, Backup & Recovery, and Cyber Security.
• Build accurate quotes and proposals in Quosal, ensuring technical and commercial alignment.
• Utilize NetSuite to communicate when critical parts and equipment are in the hands of S1 and monitor as things are fulfilled to keep the client up to date on status.
• Participate in customer calls or presentations to explain designs and address questions.
• Manage ad-hoc technical queries throughout proposal, negotiation, and implementation stages.
• Collaborate with Delivery and Engineering to confirm scope accuracy and ensure a smooth handover to service activation.
• Maintain a current understanding of Source 1 services, pricing models, and competitive differentiators.
• Support continuous improvement by refining quoting tools and technical proposal content as the team scales
• Execute project implementation with the following directives in mind:
• Maintain a healthy relationship with Sales, Project Management, and IT to effectively communicate client needs and develop tailored solutions as efficiently as possible.
