Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Manager of Technical Services to lead analytical initiatives at the Fontana plant, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. You will provide support across departments, drive process improvements, and manage raw materials and finished goods quality systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in leadership, plus strong Excel and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in statistical applications and process capability.
• Coordinate plant technical support activities and projects.
• Capture and implement best practices and root cause analysis.
• Lead production, engineering and quality optimization initiatives.
• Maintain accurate process standard databases.
• Manage quality systems for finished goods and raw materials.
• Oversee trials for process improvement and new products.
• Develop raw material tech for BOM planning and use requirements.
• Manage quality department personnel and development plans.
• Oversee capital projects to improve cost and quality.
