Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a quality technician to perform various quality systems and testing activities in a manufacturing environment. The role supports raw material and process fluid testing, quality audits, plant trials, and lab maintenance to ensure product conformance.

The position emphasizes real-time quality reviews, reporting, and collaboration with production operators and leaders to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Science or Engineering coupled with 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a lab technician in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review real-time quality data and generate reports for performance tracking.
• Perform chemical and physical property tests on materials.
• Audit lab and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain the plant MSDS database and calibrations for lab equipment.
• Coordinate documentation and testing of customer complaint material and production line off-quality issues.
• Assist in plant trials and process-improvement activities.
