Job summary

JOA seeks a Technical Services Manager to lead the Technical Services team, ensuring on-time delivery and outstanding customer support for JOA delivered projects. You will coordinate Field Service Technicians, align with Mission Control, and drive improvements across service delivery and installations.

Responsibilities include developing the team, coordinating resources, and partnering with Business Development to promote field service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of related technical experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for supervising others.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles.
• Strong mathematical skills for calculations and conversions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership to motivate a team toward goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive internal communication to align team with strategic plans and goals.
• Develop a high performing Technical Services organization through recruitment and retention.
• Lead talent development initiatives within Technical Services.
• Ensure necessary infrastructure (technology, systems) supports services and installations.
• Coordinate Field Service Technicians’ activities with Mission Control and scheduling.
• Develop and implement programs to ensure projects meet scope and are installed correctly.
• Provide field feedback to improve product quality and service delivery.
• Drive process improvements to enhance product, service, and delivery quality.
• Manage project time budgets and field reporting; escalate issues proactively.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to promote field service capabilities.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and support to Field Service Technicians.
• Work with Engineering on technical/warranty issues to meet customer expectations.
• Review service reports and prepare briefing checklists; assist with quotes and timelines.
• Participate as a team member with Inside Sales; travel for meetings as needed.
