Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering design, energy management, or retro-commissioning.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, or ASHRAE preferred.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred.
• Strong problem solving and ability to analyze complex systems.
• Multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Healthcare and higher education project experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, building automation, and energy management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance to pre-engineering teams during data collection surveys.
• Coordinates site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and scope.
• Develop energy conservation strategies for retro-commissioning projects.
• Assist design teams with integrating energy conservation strategies.
• Review RFPs for equipment and services procurement.
• Review critical equipment and system submittals for conformance.
• Conduct commissioning reviews and occasional peer reviews of design documents.
• Troubleshoots equipment and system installation.
• Assist in optimization of complex equipment and system upgrades.
• Complete technical reports and support development of new project tools.
