This position reports to

Support Services Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating proactively with both the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities are utilized for service growth. The work model for the role is: #LI - Remote. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in NY. Main stakeholders include internal and external customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Providing technical support and solving problems in your expertise area via remote or on-site service across Service categories.
  2. Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to meet customer requirements cost-effectively.
  3. Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
  4. Identifying new sales opportunities and proactively communicating with customers and ABB sales teams to understand customer needs and leverage business opportunities for service growth.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Support or a related role, focusing on Critical Power Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch, Battery, and Power Conditioning Systems).
  • Certifications such as NETA, NICET, and CompTIA are preferred.
  • Licensed Electrician is preferred.
  • Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
