Support Services Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. You will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your area of expertise. You will communicate proactively with customers and ABB sales teams to understand customer needs and identify business opportunities for service growth. The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in NY, serving both internal and external customers.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Providing technical support and solving problems in your expertise area via remote or on-site service across Service categories.
  2. Developing, marketing, or manufacturing new Service offerings to meet customer requirements cost-effectively.
  3. Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
  4. Identifying new sales opportunities and communicating proactively with customers and sales teams to ensure customer needs are met and business opportunities are utilized for service growth.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Support or a related role, focusing on Critical Power Systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch, Battery, and Power Conditioning Systems).
  • Certifications such as NETA, NICET, and CompTIA are preferred.
  • Licensed Electrician is preferred.
  • Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
