Job summary

AkzoNobel in Ohio is seeking a Technical Service Business Partner for FCG Coatings, Food Closures and General Line. You will own the customer relationship on site, delivering technical service excellence across product groups and supporting account managers.

The role requires 3–5 years in metal coatings sales, bachelor’s preferred, and 75% travel. We offer remote options, a competitive salary of $85k–$95k plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in sales / metal coatings applications, technical sales and support.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Training and facilitation skills in an industrial environment.
• Proficient in basic MS Applications.
• 75% travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical service aligned with strategy for all accounts.
• Develop and optimize work processes and systems for customer operations.
• Provide customer employee training and audits.
• Identify opportunities to reduce customer operating costs.
• Handover PSO/RD&I activities when required.
• Build relationships with customers to support joint projects.
• Support KAMs and Sales Managers with inquiries and issue resolution.
• Capture and analyze customer insights to guide strategy.
• Collaborate with RD&I and Marketing on service initiatives.
• Lead trials with KAM/Sales Manager at customer sites.
