Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Sales Representative to grow the Industrial Wood Coatings business across Minnesota and nearby markets. The role combines field sales, distributor support, and technical coatings expertise to solve customer challenges and create value.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in industrial coatings or related sales, fluent English, and is comfortable traveling extensively within the territory.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Industrial wood coatings, sales or key account roles.
• Fluent in English and able to travel ~70–75%.
• Knowledge of paints and coatings industry a plus.
• Willing to complete respirator fit test as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a distributor network and customer portfolio.
• Develop new business opportunities and identify channels.
• Provide technical support and product recommendations for wood coatings.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and conduct customer visits.
• Represent AkzoNobel professionally to build long-term partnerships.
