Job summary

Lunar Energy, based in Mountain View, seeks a Technical Service Engineer to support Lunar installations remotely and on-site across local and national sites. You will serve as the SME for installation and troubleshooting of Lunar products, while coordinating field visits and RMAs to ensure issue resolution.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in solar/battery/EV charging; a strong electrical background, valid driving license, and willingness to travel within your region.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on technical field experience.
• 5+ years designing and installing residential solar, battery, and/or EV charging systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to travel locally.
• Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred; knowledge of NEC.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support (phone, live-chat, email) to installation partners and Field Service Engineers, coordinating necessary in-person visits.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert on installing and troubleshooting Lunar products; perform root-cause analysis remotely and on-site.
• Assess and approve field RMAs; own escalations end-to-end and follow up with customers and internal teams through resolution.
• Monitor alerts and telemetry to proactively identify site issues and inform installing companies of required site visits.
