Job summary

Lunar Energy seeks a Technical Service Engineer to be the technical backbone behind the quality and success of Lunar installations. You will provide remote support to channel partners and Field Service Engineers, and serve as a subject-matter expert on Lunar products.

The role is based primarily at our Mountain View HQ, with local and national travel required. You will monitor fleets, perform root-cause analyses, and help prevent site issues with proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on technical field experience.
5+ years designing and installing residential solar, battery, and/or EV charging systems.
Clean driving record and ability to pass a driving background check.
Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes preferred.
Ability to read drawings, permit packages and technical specs for PV/ESS systems.

Responsibilities

Provide remote support to installation partners and Field Service Engineers.
Serve as the subject-matter expert on installing/troubleshooting Lunar products; perform root-cause analysis.
Assess and approve field RMAs; own escalations end-to-end through resolution.
Monitor alerts and proactively identify site issues; coordinate necessary site visits.
Analyze telemetry and metrics to identify installer errors and suggest improvements.
