Job summary
Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced polyurethane formulator to join the product and application development team at its Marietta, GA headquarters.
You will lead technical interactions with customers and collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions for rigid foam polyurethane applications. You will work independently and with other scientists to develop business cases, create new products, support trials, troubleshoot field challenges, and scale up from
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field (Ex. Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience leading projects, formulating and commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
- U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope and impact.
- Develops hypotheses, plans, and executes experiments; interprets results and refines hypotheses.
- Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer locations.
- Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments.
- Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
