Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist to act as the technical liaison between sales teams, customers, and equipment operations. You will provide product expertise, guidance, and pre- and post-sale support to drive rental revenue and ensure optimal equipment solutions for customer job-site needs.

You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, and branch teams to assess requirements, recommend equipment, troubleshoot issues, and assist with quotes and availability.

Qualifications

• BA/BS University degree or GED required.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers.
• Multi-Tasking with project management skills to accomplish goals.
• Must react to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Technical Sales Team and design departments.
• Gathering technical jobsite information.
• Setting up internal and external collaborative meetings.
• Job walks / site visits.
• Gather site details from team members/ job visits.
• Prepare list of equipment required.
• Help coordinate with local branch/ sales rep.
• Ensure all equipment is ready before set-up date.
• Coordinates/Writing contracts for potential clients to understand set up being proposed.
• Updated Data bank with Spec sheets on different equipment.
• Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, prioritizing safety.
• Support all team members.
• Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols.
