Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales across North America. This 12-week program develops your technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills, while exposing you to our extensive HVAC equipment and building automation offerings.

Interns will collaborate with Sales Account Managers, gain exposure to multiple business units, and have the opportunity to join our Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the start of the summer internship.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands-on in those steps throughout the internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in the solution-making process.
