Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for the Foil Division in the North Central US. This role combines engineering know-how with business development to drive design wins, support OEM customers, and grow the territory.

You will partner with engineers, distributors, and internal teams to serve as a trusted technical advisor, expand strategic customer relationships, and help bring innovative products to market while traveling regionally up to 50–70%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Field Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience supporting OEM customers in semiconductor, industrial, aerospace, defense, medical, or electronics markets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• MUST be available to travel up to 50-70% regional travel.
• MUST reside within designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive design-win opportunities and expand existing customer accounts within the territory.
• Provide technical leadership by supporting customers through design cycles and validation.
• Manage relationships with engineering, purchasing, and business stakeholders; collaborate with distributors.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing; maintain CRM activity and forecasting.
