Seco Tools is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to represent our metal cutting solutions in Eastern North Carolina and Virginia, with the Greenville, NC area as the ideal location. The role focuses on managing end users and distributors, developing new business, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of technical, consultative sales experience in manufacturing, strong metal-cutting knowledge, and willingness to travel 50-60% within the territory.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of successful technical, consultative sales experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong technical aptitude with proven experience in metal cutting or manufacturing solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a home /virtual office environment.
• Skilled in qualifying, demonstrating, and influencing customers.
• Proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented with a solution-driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively in the region and surrounding areas.
• Must live inside the geographic assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow business with both end users and distributor partners.
• Consult with customers to provide metal cutting solutions tailored to their manufacturing needs.
• Develop new business and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.
• Travel regularly throughout the territory (50-60%) to engage customers and partners.
• Balance technical solution selling with territory planning, sales administration, and reporting.
