Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist Sales and Application Engineer to drive metal-cutting tool sales in Virginia. The role blends technical machining experience with sales to grow revenue and manage key customer relationships from a home-based base with field travel.

Responsibilities include technical direction, product demonstrations, and collaborating with internal teams. A company vehicle is provided, with base salary plus incentive bonus and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or degree in Business, Manufacturing and/or Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of cnc machining industry experience; 1-2 years sales/applications preferred.
• Proficient in product knowledge and troubleshooting; tailor solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue targets by selling metal-cutting tool solutions.
• Develop and manage customer accounts, leads, and pipeline.
• Provide technical direction/support and conduct product demonstrations.
• Represent Kennametal at trades shows and customer visits.
• Prepare progress and forecasting reports.
