Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) seeks a Technical Sales Engineer for the Foil Division in the South Central US. The role blends technical sales, field applications support, and account management to drive design wins and grow OEM customer relationships.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering, product management, and distribution partners, travel up to 50–70%, and support customers from concept through qualification while maintaining CRM activity and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Field Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience supporting OEM customers in semiconductor, industrial, aerospace, defense, medical, or electronics markets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• MUST be available to travel up to 50-70% regional travel.
• MUST reside within designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive Business Growth: Develop new design-win opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
• Drive Business Growth: Execute territory growth plans with Sales and Account Management teams.
• Drive Business Growth: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Provide Technical Leadership: Support customers throughout the design cycle from concept through implementation.
• Provide Technical Leadership: Deliver application support, design reviews, and troubleshooting assistance.
• Provide Technical Leadership: Assist with product qualification, validation, and technical issue resolution.
• Manage Customer & Channel Relationships: Build relationships with engineering, purchasing, and business stakeholders.
• Manage Customer & Channel Relationships: Partner with distributors to drive opportunity growth and product adoption.
• Manage Customer & Channel Relationships: Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and training sessions.
• Collaborate Across the Organization: Communicate customer requirements and market trends to internal teams.
• Collaborate Across the Organization: Work closely with Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing.
• Collaborate Across the Organization: Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
