Job summary

Sandvik Coromant seeks a Sales Engineer/Account Manager for Central Indiana who will work with manufacturers in Indianapolis and Muncie. You will leverage deep CNC machining and tooling knowledge to consult with customers, deliver total Coromant solutions, and drive growth across aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors.

The role requires a technical sales mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to travel. A degree in manufacturing engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Background in aerospace, defense, and/or high-volume automotive manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven success, or potential, in technical sales and/or customer-facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (approx. 10% overnight).

Responsibilities

• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications for customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and drive growth.
• Deliver Sandvik Coromant product and service offerings to customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions; use CRM for tracking and forecasting.
