Job summary

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a Sales Engineer / Account Manager for Central Indiana, covering Indianapolis and Muncie. You will blend technical sales with machining expertise to understand customer needs and deliver tailored tooling solutions.

The role requires a Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent, hands-on CNC/CAD-CAM experience, a willingness to travel, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Background in aerospace, defense, and/or high volume automotive manufacturing a plus.
• Proven success, or potential, in technical sales and/or customer-facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications to customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships in Central Indiana.
• Deliver the full Coromant product and service offering to customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow market share.
• Maintain and optimize opportunities using CRM tools for accurate tracking and forecasting.
