Job summary

Toshiba Corporation seeks a UPS Technical Resource Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert for UPS, BESS, and power conversion technologies. You will coordinate Factory Witness Testing, maintain test equipment and procedures, and act as the technical liaison among Field Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing.

You will support troubleshooting, failure analysis, and field data analysis to drive product reliability and customer acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting UPS systems, power electronics, energy storage systems, field service operations, product engineering, testing, or related discipline.
• Experience with testing, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, or reliability analysis in manufacturing or field service.
• Experience with customer-facing technical activities and acceptance testing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis for power electronics and electrical systems.
• Ability to develop technical reports, test procedures, and customer-facing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead Factory Witness Tests (FWT) for UPS and battery systems.
• Prepare test setups, instrumentation, load banks, monitoring equipment, and documentation for witness testing.
• Develop and maintain Factory Witness Test procedures and checklists.
• Conduct functional, operational, performance, and acceptance testing per requirements.
• Create reports detailing test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain ownership and calibration of FWT equipment and tools.
• Ensure all test instruments meet quality and safety standards.
• Support troubleshooting and failure analysis of field service issues.
• Document field trends and root cause findings to aid product improvements.
• Serve as liaison between Field Service, Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering change evaluations with field performance feedback.
• Assist in development and validation of troubleshooting procedures and service documentation.
