Job summary

Amazon is seeking a UPS Battery Testing Technician to join the Operations Services team. The role focuses on preventative maintenance of UPS batteries in data centers and coordinating regional resources for smooth execution.

You will work with internal customers, external vendors, and engineers to resolve operational challenges and improve battery systems. The ideal candidate is autonomous, highly detail oriented, and communicates effectively.

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years data centre or mission critical facilities experience.
• 2+ years data centre engineering experience.
• Associate's degree or technical degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Apply preventative maintenance testing techniques to UPS batteries across data centres.
• Promote safety within the team and ensure safe working across sites.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management daily.
• Develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems with attention to timelines and costs.
• Maintain good working relationships across the organization.
• Track configuration changes and follow up on exceptions.
• Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Interpret inspection data and provide qualitative and quantitative analyses.
• Support for outages and weather events.
