Job summary

Toshiba Corporation is offering a UPS Field Service Internship in Houston to provide engineering students hands-on exposure to critical power systems, field service operations, product troubleshooting, and documentation development.

The intern will collaborate with Field Service, Repair Shop, Engineering, and other teams to review and improve service documentation, assist with Factory Witness Testing activities, and support UPS product processes from startup to testing.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
• Interest in power electronics and UPS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Able to work with Field Service, Engineering, and Repair teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review existing UPS startup check sheets, service procedures, and technical documentation for accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Assist with updating and organizing startup procedures and related Field Service documentation.
• Work with Field Service personnel to identify opportunities to improve technical documentation and standardize service processes.
• Help document lessons learned and recommended process improvements.
• Support organization and maintenance of technical information used by the Field Service team.
